Why This game Failed:

The game itself just wasnt very strategic, it was pretty cut and dry how to play and win with no in between. My biggest issue, people do not want to haul all this shit around with them when they go to play cards, having a bag and deck boxes, and playmats ya we take those but WAIT I have to have this stupid little piece of plastic, and a plastic deck box that I gotta pay for and it MUST be used to in tournament play. People do not want to hear that, and kids well kids lose stuff so this is terrible marketing yet again. The TV show just plain sucks its as if they used computer voice overs for all of the acting and not even real people as voice actors, the story is terrible id rather watch dragon ball Z for 10 episodes of one guy screaming about some attack at least it has a point its getting to. The "Clear" card game idea has been done and did terrible, it was called Hecatomb, it grabbed a lot of people at first because it was similar to magic but again fell off the face of earth for the rest of its product to end up in a clearance Bin. Then with the clear cards you face the problem of people cheating which will happen. OH and the best part is the wrong person won your guys so called "nationals" or "worlds" event because of bad judge calls. If you have a major event and the people who worked on the development team cant even get the crappy game right what makes people want to even play it. That was a nail in the coffin for a lot of people like myself. I havnt owned a Redakai card for months now I sold all of my stuff on Ebay in one lot to get rid of it, I went back to the card game that was is and always will be the best in many aspects for many reasons - Magic the Gathering.

Ocelot Blue Animal:

  For 4 kairu this guy provides no healing, +600 Blue defense (WOW thats alot!) and his special ability is when you play a second attack each turn gain 1 kairu (permanently).

This card seems good when coupled with attacks that have recharge on them because no only are you getting in several attacks a turn but your doing it effectively and gaining Kairu permanently on top of it. If he is played in a deck where a lot of cheap attacks are present and some card draw can be thrown in there he could make a nice engine for gaining Kairu in the deck but remember its only for the 2nd attack in that turn. It does not say for every 2 attacks you play gain a kairu, so this can only occur once on each of your turns.

Silverbaxx Gold Animal:

  First before we take a look at this guy look at the art on this card I LOVE It, it reminds me of some crazy Saiyan attack from dragonball Z, for those who are fans of the show! But that is one thing I have noticed so far in this set the card art has gotten a lot better and the images are clearly sharper.

ON to the review! For 6 Kairu Silverbaxx provides healing of the bottom bar +400 blue defense and +500 Green Defense , If you hit with an attack with 650 power or more, draw a card.

Wow well this card seems to combo with our Fractus gold that we reviewed early quite nicely. Both of these in the same deck could have stopable attacks and card draw seems like you could build a great deck with these cards in addition to cards that boost up attacks, when coupled with the cards that already draw cards for having higher power from the first set.

Metanoid Green Machine:

For 5 Kairu this guy heals the top bar provides total 600 Green defense and has the special ability "2: Put the top card of your deck into your discard pile. Recharge Kairu equal to the kairu cost of the card discarded in this way. Use only once per turn"

Wow this could be really good late game, dump your hand play a lot of attacks, discard a supernami to this recharge a bunch use Bruticons ability play supernami for 6 kairu. This card could be really game breaking in the right deck especially if you play a lot of high costing kairu cards. Just because it says you can use this only once per turn it is referring to THIS monster so if you happen to draw another or play another in that same turn this could get a little crazy and turn into some sort of Combo-Deck depending on how many high drop cards you can discard and what your maximum Kairu is currently at!

Magnox Gold machine:

For 3 Kairu Magnox provides no healing but boosts Red Defense by 300 and Green Defense by 400. As stated in an article at Redakai.com his special power "at the beginning of your turn, if you have no cards in your hand draw an additional card" is sheer power for the infamous staxx deck.

The reason it is so good is because it makes it so that you constantly pitch cards to your discard pile and with a few of these guys out  you are refueling your hand each turn getting massive card advantage. I would have to say for the cost of this monsters and the abilities he provides he is my favorite card out right now! Probably because playing a Drudger style deck is and has always will be my favorite!

Fractus Gold Elemental:

   For 4 kairu this version of Fractus provides no healing, but gives +400 defense to red and blue defenses. His special power " Your attacks with 650 power or more can't be stopped.

This card is not terrible, at first glance it may seem that way but in fact if you play a deck with a lot of high powered attacks or cards that boost those attacks power it makes it great because you pretty much can do whatever you wish as long as the attacks are 650 power or more. They can't be stopped - they can try and react but it will do nothing unless your opponent finds a way to decrease the power of the attack you are playing.

He will make a nice addition to some of the decks that boost attacks throughout the game to draw cards

Froztok Gold Elemental:

   Ok so for 8 Kairu this guy provides no  healing, but gives  +300 Defense boost in Green and blue defense. His special ability "when an attack is played against me for the first time each turn stop it".

Wow! This guy is just what Frozstall needed, in addition to the other Froztoks slowing down your opponent when they are able to finally play something, depending who you have this on it will stop the attack all together the first time each turn!

This card is very good because its card advantage working for free for the rest of the game - either way it will be a  2 for 1 , even if they do manage to get rid of him!

Today we have another preview for you from the Metcharged set!

This Green attack costs 5 kairu and hits the middle bar, for 350 damage but then has the Metcharged ability: If this hits you may play an attack that costs 3 or less kairu without paying its cost this turn.

This card is good because it allows you to have free attacks and anything that gives you kairu advantage is always good. I can see this being in a deck with harrier gold machine and ocelot gold machine just trying to get free attacks drawing cards and comboing out to destroy your opponents!

Well now this seems really good now as we learned the  Metacharge mechanic: as long as you’ve played a monster in the turn before you play an attack with Metacharge, you’ll get that effect. Otherwise, it acts as a normal attack.

This makes this attack pretty decent considering it can set your opponent back two turns almost and give you such a huge advantage its almost as good as playing shadow punch because instead of moving you ahead one turn it sets your opponent back almost 2 turns due to losing the kairu!

Circuits – Electrical Supercharger:

    For 2 Kairu This guy boosts Red Defense by 500 and also has the additional ability of whenever you play a monster draw a card! This card is VERY good for his cost. 2 Kairu for a monster is already good enough but the fact that he boosts 1 defense by 500 AND draws you cards whenever you play a monster seems ridiculous because as long as you keep him on top of that stack or that ability active you will draw a card for every monster you play for the rest of the game. This can provide a huge advantage. Even more so if you have two of these out it will trigger twice each time you play a monster on the 3rd character netting you two cards for every monster you play!

Hopefully we will see more amazing monsters like this one in this set, I can feel that Metacharged is more like a power charge instead of a power creep meaning the cards are clearly getting better or stronger than the previous set!
